My name is Nova.
I am a millennial writer in Austin, Texas. You can probably find me at a coffee shop writing silly things like this. Or, more likely, I’m at home immersing myself in a story. Not necessarily a book, because I like stories of all kinds: movies, video games, dreams, songs, and so on.
My writing:
My novel, Leaving You For Mars, is still currently in its first round of edits. You can find more about it here.
I describe my writing as satire, women’s contemporary, horror, and speculative. I love magical or otherworldly elements, but I prefer human struggles to be the primary focus of whatever I write.
Here, on my blog, I’ll share some more general thoughts about my writing journey, mental health, feminism, nature, and other ideas.
More about me:
I am a native New Mexican. My undergraduate degree was in English literature, and I have a master’s degree in Digital Mass Communication.
My personal interests include weightlifting, hiking, traveling, painting, and reading a variety of novels from around the world. I have one emotional support husband and one fur-child.
